Stolen Parcel

My Inkido DT box  got lost somewhere in the mail.  I really feel so bad about it.  Then,  I learned about the robbery in the Rizal post.  I guess my parcel  was part of it.  I just hope they had fun with the papers and embellishments Lise-lotte sent me.

Anyway,  it the robbery wouldn't stop me from creating pages for Inkido  since I keep all my scraps and L-L is very generous with her designers with all the embellishments.

I used my scraps from different lines here -  Apples, Gammaldags Jul, and Autumn papers.  I love to mix lines and loved the outcome of this.

The die cuts were painted and distressed using distress powders and stickled!
Here are some close - ups:
Isn't he a cute birdie?

Have a nice day and drop by inkido blog for lots of inspirations!

Our Escape

It feels summer now in the Philippines.  And I feel like going to the beach already.  This photo is taken last July 2010 during my birthday celebration.  We really love waters  and the beaches.

Travel Forever  is my favorite line of Best Creation this semester.  Why?  I love travel and discovering new places.  Its so perfect for our travels.  And this reminds me to scrapbook our Bantayan Island trip which until now,  I haven't started yet.

close ups on these cute luggages:

And to document our travels,   I created a journal to write all memories so that it would be easier to make my journaling for my scrapbook pages.

Happy travels!  And don't forget to check out Best creation blog for lots of travel inspiration!

BC Handmade Spring Flowers Blog Hop

We are having our First Blog Hop of the new season today and our theme is "Creating Handmade Spring Flowers"  On each blog you will find lots of incredible projects and ways to create and use spring flowers that you can make yourself!  In order to win our Grand Prize be sure and collect the kinds of flowers made on each blog and send the list to teresa@bestcreation.us.  Also be sure and leave comments along your way on each of our DTs. blogs and especially on the Best Creation blog at the end of the hop.  Be sure and check out Best Creation Blog for the list of prizes you are going to win.

My handmade spring flowers is made from Sizzix Tim holtz flower die and made into a rossette.  I layered the 4 pieces  of the same  cut flowers,  brushed with some opal dust for more glitter.  I used glitter dot paper and mixed with sweet love papers.

Aren't they just gorgeous?

And here they are on a lay-out:  "Sweet Love"

I used Best creation Valentine papers in creating this page and added ephemera from the hotel we stayed.  I did a lot of fussy cutwork here.
More close-ups:

Here's the biggest die on a stick:  A sweet little valentine gift for a special friend!

And now, you should be hoping on to Brittny and her gorgeous flowers!

Happy Hopping!

Here's a lay-out for Zid with his friends in school.  I used my webster scraps on this one.
And here's the sneaks of the other pages I have done:

Make sure to watch out for Best creation blog for the upcoming challenges.  There will be some prizes for sure!

Pay it forward

Have you watched the movie 'Pay it Forward'?   Well, crafters have taken up the call.  I have seen several sites and responded on one (to start with) to Pay it Forward.  The rules are simple.  The first 5 people to sign up in the comment section of my blog will receive one handmade card from me this year.  They will also copy the picture posted above and post on their blog about this 'challenge'.  They, in turn, will also forward something that they make to their first 5 responders, and so on.
I am accepting this challenge form Gale of Playing with Paper who makes lovely cards.  I am also a participant on the on going One world one heart event.

Let's Pay it forward this Valentine month!!!

One World One Heart 2011

Mabuhay!!!

This will be the fifth and last One World One Heart blog event hosted by Lisa, the Whimsical Bohemian.   This will be my third year to be a part of this joyful blogging event.  I have met lots of friends and inspirations around the world.  I am sad that this will be the last and I know Lisa have great reasons to choose this year as the final year. Besides, we all could still  keep in touch with each other with our blogs.

Now,  you have made a stop to the Philippines, an archipelago with lots of beautiful beaches and summer all year round.  (Oh we have lots of typhoons too!) Enjoy your tour as you visit my lovely country!

I am Jona,  an outdoor person.  A working mom by day and a scrapbooker at night.  I also love doing ATC's and swap with crafty friends around the world.  I am also a  cardmaker and loves to alter things and turn trash to treasures. My inspirations are my very supportive husband, Glen and my 5 year old son, Zid (you can see them in the photo at the top right). And of course, you are all more than welcome to browse my blog to see my work.

This year, I have several prizes to give.  First,  my dreams and imaginations ATC.  Its a 4 ATC and when pieced together  this is how it will look like. The lucky recipient may keep them all or share with friends.  I used Tim holtz stamp, prima and Inkido stamps here.
Second,  my tulips ATC and a little stamp. I am still learning to use copics and blending them
.
And third,  my hello friend ATC.

All these ATC's were made  last December after I got my email from Lisa about OWOH.  I want to prepare early  so I won't cram when the day comes.  I know it will be a busy blogging event again  as last year there are more than 1,000 participants.  Thank you Lisa  for organizing such a wonderful event and for connecting us all.

Leave me a comment on this post to be eligible for the random drawing of my prizes.  Please make sure that I have a way of contacting you via email  when the prizes are drawn on Feb 17.
Happy One World One Heart everyone!  Enjoy your tour as we travel worldwide!!!

Paalam!

Valentine Box

Valentine is just around the corner,  and this box is perfect to hold some sweet notes and sweet chocolates.

I used the christmas paper to cover the heart and used the gel medium to layer the yummy Inkido embellishments.
close up on the metal embellishment from Kort og Godt and flowers from Inkido.  The netting is perfect touch for some shabby feel.
Hope everyone is getting romantic for the coming valentines.  I know I am  since our wedding anniversary will be in two days and we will be celebrating 6 years of blissful marriage.

Have a nice day!!!
Hugs,  Jona

First Lay-out

Yeay, my very first lay-out for the year 2011.  And start of scrapping my December and Christmas photos.   I know  I have lots of back log and photos from August  that needs to be scrapped.

In this page,  I used two christmas lines of Inkido,  Christmas Elegance by Kristine and Gammaldags Jul by Anne Marie.  I just loved the layering and the cluster of the embellishments.  Inkido got gorgeous flowers and embellishments to bout!

A close up on the embellishments:

Thanks for dropping by and have a nice day!

Websters yumminess

Last week, I had the privilege to attend another class by Iris Uy.   This time  new art mediums were introduced to us.  I really had fun playing with the art mediums and with webster pages - hollywood vogue line.

SNR Publication

Yes, finally I can share my Scrapbook News and Review Publications last December for the Holiday Issue.

Our Christmas Morning:  (Watching the kids open their gifts excitedly!)  Although this year they waited until before midnight to open their gifts  so we don't have our chaotic christmas morning.

Dreaming of a White Christmas  (since we don't experience snow here in the Philippines,  we stay in the coldest part of the region, Baguio City.  My sister just overdid my nephews attire here)

And the winter wonderland card:
I used new and old Best creation christmas papers here.  Other embellishments are from Inkido and alphas from Making memories.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!
