At the Zoo

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Its been a productive weekend for me.   I am trying to finish all my backlogs  before we have another vacation to scrap and not to mention  everyday moments  that is worth scrapbooking.
Here's another photo  from our Singapore trip last year.   I played with three of my favorite manufacturers -  Pink Paislee, Websters Pages and Best Creation.  I hope  I get to finish our Singapore album  before its anniversary in May. (  I hope so!)
Supplies:  Patterned paper - Pink paislee, Websters Pages, Best Creation; chipboard - Maya road, flower - inkido, tools - Martha stewart
Close up on chipboard with embossing powder and opal dusts.   I sprinkled embossing powder  while the paint is wet and use the heat gun on the chipboard.  Thus, the effect of bubbles.

Thanks for the visit!!!

You rock!

My son and his friend Fonz (actually my friend's son)
Both rock lovers  and cool!

I did some misting and masking  and some mixed media on my chipboard.  Painted  and heat emboss the chipboard before adding some stickles.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Borders and scraps

Its been a long time since I joined online crops.   My scrapbook Nook  is  having one right now  and here are my takes.  I enjoyed adding borders to my lay-outs.  They make my pages look so clean.

Challenge 1 is a recipe challenge  and  I missed adding the banners  and added a fussy cutwork instead.  I just can't resist adding that cute mailbox.

loved the layering of paper and lace underneath:

Challenge 2  is to use 10 patterned papers.  I literally used scraps here except for the cardstock and the WP western romance.  I made this lay-out first  so  that paper was new.

This year,  I'll try to make more lay-outs  since  I didn't made it to a hundred this year.
have a great week!

Hugs,  Jona

First Lay-out for 2012

Sharing with you my very first lay-out for the year:

My son really loves Songs of the Sea attraction at Sentosa, Singapore.  If we can just afford watching it every night during our stay in Singapore,  he would love too.

I used Webster's All about me papers here and My Stamp Box stamps for the handmade tag. With my handmade lacey flower, this page  qualifies  for the vintage (shabby) challenge at Berry 71Bleu!

Have a great week!   hugs,  Jona

Happy New Year!!!

From my family to yours,

 Happy New year!!!

its been an awesome 2011.   I will miss designing for Inkido and Best Creation.  2012 may be a simpler scrapbooking life for me  as I try to focus on conceiving this year.  Wish me luck on this one.  My son is so eager to have a baby brother or baby sister real soon and I am not getting any younger.

Bring it on 2012!!!
