Celebrate Love

Its long weekend here in Manila and I got lots of time to mess up my corner and play with my toys.  Its been a while too since I have joined challenges  and boy, oh boy,  did I miss them.

Here's my take  for the this month's sketch at Once upon a sketch  and wing challenge at Berry 71 Bleu.  I used mostly my Webster Pages scraps here and did some stamping  with WP itty bitty stamp for Girl land.  Love it!
tried some flocking and just realized how fun it is.

a cluster of washi tapes,  just loved them  and I want more design.  Thanks to Yelle for the music note washi tape.

Thanks for dropping by  and have a great week ahead!!!

I'm Back!

Hello!!!!

Its been a while  since I last posted here on my blog.  I miss playing with my toys too and boy oh boy,  I was excited  to join a scrapbook crop here in Manila.

A day of fun  with fellow scrappers,  old friends  and met new ones too.  I got my own apron too!!!  And the best part - I made 4 lay-outs.    Its been a while  since my last scrapbook page.

My scrapper friends (L-R) Geng, Mel, Me and new friend Linda

I used the available embellishments  I bought  from the event  and the papers and scraps  I brought with me.  And in between, chatting with friends,  I was able to finish lay-outs.  woohoo!!!

My finished lay-outs:

Pardon the pictures,  I just took it with Ipad  and well,  Mr. Sunshine  is always away from Manila.  Send me sunshine here.

And lastly,  I altered  my apron  and its so me!!!
Thanks for the visit  and have a lovely day!!!

Color Us Happy

Friends are like flowers in the garden  and color our life.

My friends - Rina and Ning, my found jewels in Mindoro.  Our friendship started in that province and never ended there  even after  I got married  and relocated back in Manila. We color each other's lives.
Here's a lay-out of one of our bonding moments here in Manila recently.  We all love havaiannas  and even made our own friendship havaiannas.

Back to School

Its back to school in this side of the world.

And yes,  my no longer little boy  is going to a big school now.  He really wanted to study in the school of his cousin.  He is also now in the stage  of  'No more photos pls".  Thus,  I  have few photos  to choose from  for his back to school page.

I know I have been using this KI Memories die cut for a mask  and I have been loving it.  Perfect for my boy pages and back to school theme.

Joining the fun and challenges  at The color room for palette #115, scrap for help  for use of old metals and Flourish with a bling sketch.

Close ups on the jack vine flourish  from FWAB  and bits of metals from my old accessories:

Thanks for the visit  and have a great day!

What's Up?

Me?  busy with work,  busy with a new business, busy learning about cosmetics.

Seriously?  I am serious. I am swamped with work, mommy duties that scrapbooking and reading took a back seat.  I know, I know.   I used to make time for scrapbooking  even if it means no sleep for me.  But,  I can't let my hemoglobin level drop and have dizzy spells  when I am not pregnant.  oh how I wish,  I am pregnant  when I get some dizzy spells.

Anyway,  here are two lay-outs  using What's Up by Basic Grey.   I am always intimidated to play with Basic Grey.   I guess  I have to conquer that fear  and explore and be adventuruous.   The two lay-outs have both misting and masking  and some stamping.  And somehow,  still within my style.  Oh,  what is really my style these days?  I am exploring and trying new techniques.

Thanks for the visit and have a great weekend!!!

Sasha

Little girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice

For a cute baby girl on her baptismal day next month. How I wish  I can travel with the lay-out all the way to Australia.  Maybe next year,  I will see you Sasha.

I played with my inkido,  best creation and webster pages.  All my favorite papers and with misting and opal dusts.  Loved the creative process.

Thanks for the visit and have a great weekend ahead.

Sweet Summer

First,  I want to greet all of us  Happy National Scrapbooking day!!!

Its been a while since I have posted on my blog.  So sorry about that. I have been so busy with work  and mommy stuff.

Here's a page  I made to capture my bonding with my girlfriends  of almost 3 decades.  yes,  3 decades of friendship,  since kindergarten.  Would you believe that!   I would love to grow old with them,  wrinkles and all!

All papers and flowers are from Inkido.  I mixed papers from Forever Summer papers and scraps from Autumn last year, and gammaldags jul.  Loved the outcome. Here's  my take to their summer challenge this month.

Thanks for the visit  and hope you are having a grand time this NSD!

hugs,  Jona!

Water Fun

Its hot hot summer  and time to hit the pool and beach!

I loved this underwater photos of Zid from last years summer.  Now,  he has new underwater photos  and I'm sure  there will be more.  He loves the water  as much as I and his dad loves it.

Here's my page  inspired from TCR#105 Palette and for the button challenge for Scrap for Help.  I was also inspired by Tomoko Takahashi  with the play of paint and mixed media on buttons.

Would you believe that only the background paper from Inkido is new paper here?  The rest are all scraps and the coffee cardboard from starbucks  I have kept plus the prima packaging.  I even used some alpha scraps  and painted cream paint over it for some texture.
 Close up on details

Thanks for the visit  and hope you all had a great day.

Hugs,  Jona
