A great weekend

This weekend was really relaxing for us. Zid and I just did our grocery and stayed at home. I was able to finish the mini album class I wasn't able to attend and made Bins first lay-out.
Bins is only a week old here and he has grown so much since then. Don't worry darling nephew, I will be doing your pages soon.
I did dry embossing using my cuttlebug folder and masking which is becoming my favorite.
So, how did your weekend go? Hope everyone had a great one!

Lil Princess

Quoting from Ella's Mom: You will always be our princess!

I enjoyed the process of doing this page for Design Dollies color and elements challenge. I know I didn't wait to see the sketch to make it to trifecta. I used the color combination of pink, white and craft and added the recipe for elements challenge - lace, stripes, 3d embellishments and crown. I cut the crown from the transparency of tim holtz mini mask and its backing paper for my craft backing paper. I made my own 3d flowers - crumpled scallop papers and transparency flowers.

Have a nice day!

Cutie

Wacs making a cute face before the camera. I did misting and masking and of course using my scraps again. I just loved this sketch at Creative Scrappers.

Thanks for looking!

Oh Brother!!!

My nephews Migs and Wacs having a great time and bonding at Enchanted Kingdom. Kuya Migs enjoyed the adult rides while Wacs with the kiddie rides and playing with Kuya Zid.

I misted the white cs with perfect pearls using mini mister but the shimmer is much better in real life. I just love this white space sketch over at Design Dollies.

Have a nice day!

You make me smile

. . . giggle, happy, laugh and complete. This is the joy of motherhood. And for my friend Chie, she just experienced it early this year.
I used the sketch from Sketchy Thursdays where I drew my inspiration:

And a few close ups:

I made this lay-out in acrylic block to focus on the love shared by the mother and child. I just loved how Jaimee lovingly smiled at the camera with her mom.
Thanks for looking. Have a great weekend!

Another Giveaway

Who wouldn't want to win this stamp set from unity? I know I want it. Check it out here how you can have a chance too.

Train your dragon

This is one of the attraction in Ocean Park and we had so much fun inside, playing the games and picture taking. Zid really enjoyed inside. Of course, I have to use my certificate to add in my page the characters. I'm keeping Zid's certificate of course.

I'm joining this scrapbook page for Sisterhood of scrap for their predominantly brown challenge, and for Design Dollies - thus the splash of blue and lime green for their color challenge.

Happy weekend!

Awesome blog and candy

I've been bloghopping lately and today, I happen to find Make it crafty site. Zoe's blog is full of inspiration and she will be opening an online shop soon. For sure, it will be full of yumminess.

To celebrate her exciting news, Zoe is giving away a candy. Check it out here how you can get a chance to enter.
This is my favorite project Zoe made. I loved the way she colored it and the dimension. You may leave her some love here.
Happy blogging!

This is love

. . .as shared by mother and daughter. The handmade flowers were made from the tutorials in Scrapbook Heaven Flower Crop which is still ongoing until May 28. Join us to learn those gorgeous flowers to add in your projects.

Perfect Moments

. . . are best shared with dear friends.
Photos taken during our trip in Singapore. Check, Cielo and Jheng met me and Zid for a dinner in Vivo City and gave us a city tour. Time was not enough to catch up on all those years but we really had a great time together.
I used Creative scrappers Sketch#104 for this and prima goodies!
Here's a close up of my handmade flowers. They look equally gorgeous with the prima flowers.

Have a nice day!

Happy Tuesday!

I really am in the mood for some serious scrapping these days!!! First, I want to make a big dent on my stash before I purchase those new yummy stuff. I want to consume my old papers to make some room.

Second, I just learned it was so much fun to scrap your photos when you join them in challenges.

Third, I learned to use a 12 x 12 sketch into a double page lay-out.

So, here's my sketch for Creative Scrappers #103. I really loved the outcome of my double page lay-out using their sketch!

Have a nice day!

Ride Away

I found a new challenge blog called Design Dollies. I just love the elements, color and sketch challenge they have. And you can even combine the challenges for their trifecta! How cool is that!

Here's my take on their element and color challenge. Challenge is to be inspired by mother goose ryhmes. I have to look for Zid's book and find a ryhme that will suit this photo. Luckily I found, Ride away ride away. here's the ryhme"

Ride away, ride away
Johnny shall ride,
And he shall have a cat tide to one side;
And he shall have a little dog tide to the other;
And Johnny shall ride to see his grandmother.

I also added a hickory hickory dock die cut and some misting of clock since we are trying to make most of our time in singapore.

Thanks for looking!

Mother's Day lay-outs

Happy mother's Day to all the wonderful moms out there!!!

This past weekend is a very important weekend not only for mothers but also for our country Philippines. We are electing new president for the country and other top national positions.

In between doing my duty as a Filipino and as a mom, I was able to squeeze in two lay-outs:

First, "Explore" trying to finish our Singapore pictures to scrapbook

I used Nikki Sivil's Willie Bee collection here and I just couldn't stop misting and stamping these days. Also made this for Ginger's challenge in treasured Scrapbooking and for Sisterhood of Scrap May stitching challenge.

Second, "Ti amo" (I love you) Inspired from The Color Room Pallette #5:

I loved this color combo and I used my scraps to make this page. Only SEI CS was the new paper used here. Isn't it cool!

All my Love

I just love this Palette #4 of The Color Room. For my take, I used my scraps of pink paislee, prima and nikki Sivils patterned paper. I used prima foam stamp to stamp in my background and of course misting which is becoming my favorite these days.

Have a nice day!

Pooh & Me

I really wouldn't miss the opportunity for a meet and greet with Pooh - my Disney Character favorite. I admit I am more excited for our Hongkong Disneyland adventure than my son. It is a childhood dream come true. And I am going back for sure. And next time, I will be there for two days and stay at their hotel.

I used Creative Scrappers #102 sketch for this one and Nikki Sivils Willie Bee collection. It really fits my photo since Pooh loves honey!

Have a honey day!

Lakbayan

Glen and I loved to travel and explore the beaches of our country. There are still a lot of places for me to visit in Visayas and Mindanao. I want to have a full shade of the map just like Glen and my mom.

My Lakbayan grade is C+!

How much of the Philippines have you visited? Find out at Lakbayan!

have a nice day!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!!

It's a busy weekend for me. I had so much fun doing Iris's Prima class at Lasting Impression and learned new techniques again. I really enjoy playing with distress inks and perfect pearls. Now, I want to have most of the colors now.
For the first lay-out, we stamped the prima foam stamp in our cardstock and fill it in with perfect pearls and painted the bird chipboard with perfect pearls too.

For this, we did masking and stamping of background in three colors. This is really cool.

We used the distress ink on the images and applied stickles on the frame. I skip on doing the stitching.

And for the fourth lay=out, using scraps from the kit and applying some of the techniques I just learned.
Happy NSD everyone!!!
