Weekend Bonding

Last weekend,   I had the opportunity to share my hobby with my friends.  We had a sleepover in my friend's condominium in Eastwood, Libis.  It was a great weekend to be with my friends and my boys.  Well,  my husband tells us its non stop chatting and less scrapbooking.  Well,  we did our best to multi-task.

taking a break with our family in Yellow cab (oh, we almost forgot we need to feed them dinner!)
To start,   I introduced to them  the scrapbook tools and materials first.  Since it will be their very first time to scrapbook.  I shared with them my stuff too and extra embellishments (now,  I have a great way to consume all my stuff and make room for new ones).

I also showed to them, a sketch from Filipino Scrapbookers Challenge blog to draw inspiration. And only me, used the sketch for my lay-outs.  I finished 4 lay-outs and two of my lay-outs are based on this sketch.

Here's my take on the sketch:
8 yrs
I did some stamping and masking for the techniques  and of course,  using my favorite washi tapes.

and my 2nd lay-out:
Explore

I twisted the sketch a little bit here.

Its good to be scrapbooking again and joining challenges.  I hope  I can keep it up til the year end.

Thanks for the visit.

That's so nice and sweet of you Jona to introduce your friends to our well-loved hobby of scrapbooking. It's a way of sharing our love and passion with those close to us. . . hmmm ... it will take time for me to be able to entice my long time friends, former classmates and colleagues . . . but it's a nice gesture and cause to undertake.

Wishing you more blessings to be able to share more with others specially your loved ones and get that stash of yours going and yourself churning works and works of art for our own eyes, our family and fellow scrappers as well.

Wonderful work on your 2 layouts, Jona! Thanks for joining the Filipino Scrapbookers Sketch Challenge. Here's looking forward to seeing more of your creations.
