Where did the time go?  My son is now 5 years old and will always be my baby.  If only I can keep him this way.

For my lay-out today,  I got to play with Epiphany craft tool!  Epiphany craft sent us the tool machine and epoxy to play with together with some felt flowers.
Check out the epiphany crafts right now,  and I'm sure you'll love their products as much as I do.  (I want to get the button maker now!)
Materials: Bazill CS, Best Creation robot R010, R009, R004, Best creation robot chipboard, Epiphany Crafts heat tool and heart epoxy, martha stewart punch, all about scrapbooking brads.

Lay -outs and sketches

I love making lay-out from sketches especially when I got stuck on a page.  Sketches are my quick solution especially if they are from Pagemaps!

Don't you just admire Becky's sketches?  Oh yes I do.  I started using them since I started my scrapbooking - I know some of my pages almost look identical. Oh well!

Flipped the sketch above for my "out of this world" lay-out:
Cardstock - bazill, patterned paper: Best creation Robot R 006, R005, R002, R007, robot chiboard, fancy pants chipboard, making memories paint and opal dusts.

and  flipped this sketch for my lay-out below.

Best Creation Ballerina Princess BP 005, BP 007. BP chipboard; Ribbon - pink paislee, bling - prima, flowers - inkido, alpha - pink paislee and cosmo cricket.

Best Creation Blog Hop

Happy Easter everyone!!!
It is hip hop time again!  So Grab your Bunny ears and come on a fun hop with us to learn lots of incredible techniques to use all those fun border punches that you have!

If you have come from Mireille's blog,  then you are on the right track. If not,  better start hopping from Best Creation blog so as not to miss all the fun!
I used the fiskars border punch to edge my patterned paper and inked them with faded jeans Rangers ink and I used the martha Stewart's  double loop punch for some layering borders.

here's a close up inked edge:

and the close up on the Clear scrap star.   I painted the edge and added gold stickles so that the layers of the loop are clearly seen.

Don't you just love the Robot line of Best Creation?   I do heart it very much.  And now I know you are anxious to know my letter - L.
Now,  you should be hopping to Sandy  for more inspiration.

Happy hopping!!!
Hugs, Jona

Of robots and clear shapes

This is how it looks when robots of Best Creation and acrylic shapes of Clear scraps combine:
CAUTION: Photo overload and art medium fun inside!
I love working with acrylics.  Before,  I was intimidated to use it but then,  I learned how fun it is to play with acrylics.  You can stamp on them,  paint them, cover with paper.  The possibilities are endless.

close up on the cover with stamping on the acrylic:

Here I stamped a sparrow using stazon and dabbed a paint at the back of the acrylic.  Still showing lots of the patterned paper.  I edged it with red paint and stickles for some oomph!
and here's an example of acrylic with covered patterned paper.  I added some button chipboard and the chipboard shapes from robot line.

WOYWW and a Birthday Card

For two days,  I don't know why I can't connect with blogger,  I can't open my own blog and I can't leave any comments. Finally, today  the bug was gone.  Yahoo!!!
It may be thursday for me now but on the other side of the world it is still Wednesday.  So here how my desk this wednesday looks like!

Lots of stuff on it and the shadow box frame,  I am planning to alter as a home decor.  Still until now  I haven't touched it yet  simply because  I still can't figure out what I want to do with it.  I even printed the sketch from The color room for some color inspiration (planning to join the challenge this week and of course,  wasn't able to finish again in time).

And here's a card using  the forever line of Inkido.  I so loved the frame  and sad to say,  its a precut frame as per Lise-lotte. So,  I may not be able to re doit using the Inkido papers.  I added lots of texture on the frame using paint, opal dusts and stickles.

close up on the texture of the frame with paint, stickles and opal dusts.  Loved the outcome on this one.

Thanks for dropping by and check out the inkido blog for everyday inspiration and Julia's blog to snoop on other desks.

Have a nice day!

WOYWW and Loadstar . . .

Hello Everyone!   Its wednesday again.  Where did the days go by?

My desk is pretty clean  (by my standards!) today.  Because,  I have kept in the box the lay-outs I have made this weekend. Yyup, not yet in their albums since I just ordered them and my sister in law will be bringing it home with her next month.
On my table are my son's ribbons last Culminating activity, the prize I won last OWOH, the beach house book (I haven't opened yet) and the minibook I made.  Yipee, my kindergardener got a honorable mention ribbon and most neat in class.  I am going to scrap them this week with his  progress report sheet.  I have chosen the patterned papers already for it and have to start scrapbooking when I get sometime tonight.

Here's Loadstar up close.  My son named him after one of the aliens of Ben 10. Thanks to Knot by G'ranma for this cute little monster.

Thanks to everyone to your suggestion on my lay-out.  I added the "K2"  as a title on my page since that is Zid's level in this class picture.  Now,  I feel my lay-out is complete.

Thanks for dropping by and to see other desks and what everyone else is doing,  check out Julia's blog!  See yah!
