Color Us Happy

Friends are like flowers in the garden  and color our life.

My friends - Rina and Ning, my found jewels in Mindoro.  Our friendship started in that province and never ended there  even after  I got married  and relocated back in Manila. We color each other's lives.
Here's a lay-out of one of our bonding moments here in Manila recently.  We all love havaiannas  and even made our own friendship havaiannas.

another altered chipboard with a Zeus and Zoe button.
Joining the challenges over Berry 71 blue for the chipboard challenge,  scrap for help for the used metal, and Bird is the word challenge.

Thanks for the visit and have a great weekend.  June is over and my birthday month is just a  day away.

Water Fun

Its hot hot summer  and time to hit the pool and beach!

I loved this underwater photos of Zid from last years summer.  Now,  he has new underwater photos  and I'm sure  there will be more.  He loves the water  as much as I and his dad loves it.

Here's my page  inspired from TCR#105 Palette and for the button challenge for Scrap for Help.  I was also inspired by Tomoko Takahashi  with the play of paint and mixed media on buttons.

Would you believe that only the background paper from Inkido is new paper here?  The rest are all scraps and the coffee cardboard from starbucks  I have kept plus the prima packaging.  I even used some alpha scraps  and painted cream paint over it for some texture.

Thanks for the visit  and hope you all had a great day.

Fun in the Sand

Its summer in Manila!!!

Sometimes hot,  sometimes rainy,  sometimes cold.  Oh,  I hate this weather changes  because of global warming!

Its a beautiful day today  and I here I am, alone in the corner of our room.  My son is out with his grandma and cousins while hubby is at work.  Yeay,  playtime for me in my scrap area!!!  Before,  I hide in my happy place  let me share with you my page that shouts summer!!!

These photos were taken during our summer vacation last year in Singapore.  We stayed in Sentosa and very near the Siloso Beach.  We had so much fun and we love going to the beach before and after visiting other places in Singapore.

Supplies: Patterned paper - Bo Bunny, Pink Paislee, October Afternoon, Websters Pages; Chipboard - Alpha (thickers), Key (rangers), clock (diecut from sizzix), button (Websters); others - washi tape, bakers twine.
 Close up on details:

Painted white paint on the chipboard  before applying perfect pearls and bits of opal dusts:

This lay-out is inspired  from the sketch of Get Picky  and photo inspiration from Bellaidea's blog.  I used the green color of the garden and added the clock piece to frame the photos  as "gate".

Thanks for dropping by  and have a great weekend everyone!

Stormy lay-outs

When typhoon Nesat visited my country,  I stayed at home and slept most of the morning.  No electricity,  no internet connection and too lazy to scrap.

Finally, I overcome my laziness and started scrapping.  However,  these lay-outs were already planned a week before I went on vacation.  So,  all the papers and embellishments are prepared already.  I just need to work on the page.

Forever summer paper collection and embellishments by Papercraft Scandinavia (Inkido).
 close up on the embellishments:

Have a great week.  Please do send me some sunny thoughts since its still raining here.

Thanks for the visit!

A week of Adrenaline rush

Our group here in Manila challenged ourselves to have a secret scraplift challenge.  We were divided into 2 groups.  Our group  was behind and we had to catch up on the other group.  We have group members in the US and no timezone mattered to us.  I got the lay-out to scraplift at 12midnight.  I slept early and in the middle of wee hour,  I woke up at 3am,  check my facebook account and a message read,  you got the lay-out!
I panicked!  And adrenaline rush was flowing.   Here's my lay-out at 3am  and finished at 5am  so that before going to work,  I can pass it on to the next person.
And the day after,  still with some adrenaline rush,  I finished this lay-out.  Both lay-outs are shouting summer.  Summer is long gone in Manila  and with tropical weather,  we get to enjoy summer all year round!

Thanks for the visit and have a great day!

Scrapbook Laureat

I am still high with Mojo after the scrapbook Laureat here in Manila.  To be surrounded with creative ladies with the same passion in scrapbooking will really push you to the limits.

Our laureat. and there's more where they came from. I was able to complete 14 lay-outs and 16 cards!

A few of my favorite lay-outs,  simple and fast scrapping.

It was indeed a day of fun.

Thanks for the visit!

Splashes of Fun

A life without love is like a year without summer. - Sweddish Proverb
Well,  living in a tropical country is having summer all year round and I never regret it.  I dream of having white christmas and making snow angels too.  And I love love love making sand castles anytime of the year and diving underwater.  Yep,  that is the real me.  Beach lover.  A Mermaid with feet.
This week Best creations will show you all the fun in making water pages and how much we all love water.  Fussy cutting is easy with the Splash Fun collection to create the water. Of course,  with helmar Adhesives  our pages will always stand out.  Just like my own quote "  Behind every beautiful artwork is a glue - and that is Helmar!"
If you hop over to the Best Creation blog from now till the weekend, you will find lots of water-themed projects. There are guessing games with prizes to be won and many of the designers are having giveaways on their blogs.
Here's my two pager using Splash Fun:

close up on first page:  I used zap dots for lots of 3d  on those cute splashes.  Misting added more "splashes" on my page
a close up on page #2:
and there goes the ball!  It really looks like it created splashes on my page.

For a chance to win on my blog, leave me a comment by June 24th and I will draw one winner to win a pack of 6x6 collection and some extras.  Yes,  I will post anywhere in the world.

Make sure to visit other BC designers too.  Have great day!

Bring it On!

The boys really enjoyed their bonding moment last holy week in Lola's resthouse in Tagaytay. After swimming, monkeying around and running, everyone waited for their own turn to play the PSP.

Supplies: Cardstock - Crate Paper, Patterned Paper - Best Creation Loops and Scoops, Chipboard - Best Creation, tools - Martha Stewart and Fiskars.
This is my take on this weeks sketch at Pencillines.Of course, I flipped the sketch again.

Building Memories

I am so glad to found a new challenge blog for multi photos - Get Picky  .  They are having their first inspirational challenge ongoing now.

I used the lollipop swirls and colors as my inspiration to create our last night in Hongkong with my sister.  I added black for additional color boost.

Thanks for dropping by and have a nice weekend!
