I'm back!!!

Gosh!  I have neglected  my blog  for a very long time.
I might be so busy  with other things  and I still do try  to scrap  once in a blue moon.   Well,  mostly were mini albums  for clients.  So I have  tons  of scrapbook backlog since our 2013 vacation in Legoland, Malaysia.   And two months  have already  passed  since  our Kota kinabalu vacation.

So here's some of my projects,  snatched from my instagram account.  If you have IG account,  you may follow me at @jonaks17.  Its easier for me to post photos in IG  and FB.

A collage mailart using stamps  from Tim Holtz,  inkido  and some washi tapes.   I have joined postcrossing and enjoyed making mailart for swaps  and for some friends.

One of the mini albums  I have given as gift  to our friend.

A load of collage ATC  for PCA swap.  It was one  making all 50 of them.  I had fun playing with my washi tapes.  Well,  it is one of those days  that  I get to play with my toys.

And finally,  a mixed media  cover  I made  for my postcard collection album.

So,  I am still crafting  from time to time  and tries  to combine  my passion with scrapbooking and my new hobby - philately and postcrossing.

I promise  to make more time to scrapbooking this time  and hopefully join challenges again.

Thanks for visiting my blog and have a great day!

Artist Trading Cards

Whenever I feel lazy scrapbooking and need a boost on my mojo,  I start with an ATC.  So, after almost a year of hiatus in ATCsforall.com,  I went back and signed on a swap and PIF collage.

Here are my new collage ATC's :

I really am a slow scrapper. I timed myself and found out that I spent 30 mins on each ATC.

have a nice day everyone!

My Creative Mess

Its a beautiful Wednesday!

A busy and inspiring table for me.  I love looking at it this way,  my creative mess:

The lay-out  I finished last thursday and still seating on my table  since  I never got a chance to take a photo of it last weekend,  an atc  I am trading,  a mixed media tag, papers for the ATC  I am working on,  the eiffel tower stamp from Inkido,  my wicker basket and box that hold those loose papers and other bits  that makes me happy.
I need to take a better photo of this lay-out!   This page is special to me  since  its almost 3 decades  of friendship with these gals.  We were friends  since we were 6 years old - from grade school to high school until after college.  Now,  most of us are married and some are living abroad.  And we still see each other  at least twice a year  for those who are left behind.

My ATC for Meredith, that girl is so cute!
My mixed media tag - I need a better photo of this too.
Thanks for dropping by  and don't forget to drop by Julia  for more snoop and lots of inspirations!

Have a great day!
hugs,  Jona

Pretty girls and a card

During One world One heart event,  I met new friends who share the same passion in creating ATC's.  Artist trading cards are miniature art creations  either handdrawn,  painted or collage.  I collage ATC's since  I really haven't tried learning to draw.

I am swapping my freedom ATC with Britney all the way to Australia.

And my unique and youthful ATC  with Yvonne of Artic blonde creations. Check out her blog and see her wonderful ATC's.

And these girl with her doll will remain in my collection.  I try to keep one for myself  everytime I make an ATC.  But most of the time,  I have swapped them too.

Before I end my post,  I'd like to share my card using Best Creation Safari Boy line.

Check out Best creation blog for lots of inspiration from my fellow designers.   And don't forget Best Creation Blog hop on Mar 11.  See you there!

One World One Heart 2011

Mabuhay!!!

This will be the fifth and last One World One Heart blog event hosted by Lisa, the Whimsical Bohemian.   This will be my third year to be a part of this joyful blogging event.  I have met lots of friends and inspirations around the world.  I am sad that this will be the last and I know Lisa have great reasons to choose this year as the final year. Besides, we all could still  keep in touch with each other with our blogs.

Now,  you have made a stop to the Philippines, an archipelago with lots of beautiful beaches and summer all year round.  (Oh we have lots of typhoons too!) Enjoy your tour as you visit my lovely country!

I am Jona,  an outdoor person.  A working mom by day and a scrapbooker at night.  I also love doing ATC's and swap with crafty friends around the world.  I am also a  cardmaker and loves to alter things and turn trash to treasures. My inspirations are my very supportive husband, Glen and my 5 year old son, Zid (you can see them in the photo at the top right). And of course, you are all more than welcome to browse my blog to see my work.

This year, I have several prizes to give.  First,  my dreams and imaginations ATC.  Its a 4 ATC and when pieced together  this is how it will look like. The lucky recipient may keep them all or share with friends.  I used Tim holtz stamp, prima and Inkido stamps here.
Second,  my tulips ATC and a little stamp. I am still learning to use copics and blending them
.
And third,  my hello friend ATC.

All these ATC's were made  last December after I got my email from Lisa about OWOH.  I want to prepare early  so I won't cram when the day comes.  I know it will be a busy blogging event again  as last year there are more than 1,000 participants.  Thank you Lisa  for organizing such a wonderful event and for connecting us all.

Leave me a comment on this post to be eligible for the random drawing of my prizes.  Please make sure that I have a way of contacting you via email  when the prizes are drawn on Feb 17.
Happy One World One Heart everyone!  Enjoy your tour as we travel worldwide!!!

Paalam!

Stamping and paint

I had so much fun playing with paint and stamps with Inkido.  In my first lay-out,  I painted my chipboards with paint and dried it with heatgun, creating a bubble texture and applied opal dusts for some shimmerz!  I really love using opal dusts in almost everything.

In my second lay-out,  I created a background using the script stamp of Inkido and layered it the sparrow and carte postale stamp. With a strip of paper, lace and flower cluster, the page is complete!
and I recreated the lay-out background into an ATC.

Don't forget out to check out the Inkido blog for lots of inspirations.

Happy Wednesday!

Sweet Luv and ATC's for trade

For the past months, I have been enjoying incorporating butterflies in my pages. And so when I finally got my Martha Stewart butterfly punch, I know I'll be using it a lot of times.

In this page, I used my DCWV Mariposa papers and stamped butterflies and music notes from Prima. The cut Pink Paislee pp was distressed with distress inks. I just love its new look. Bins is just two weeks old in this photo which was taken last April. Oh, I had so much back logs on Bins album and our Disney pages which I haven't started yet.

On the other note, I am inviting my blogger friends who would like to trade their ATC with me. I will be trading three of my dream ATC here. Sentiment and image are from Tim Holtz ideology acryclic stamp.

ATC theme swap would be dreams. Lets build on those dreams and make them come true!

Please leave me a comment here and email me your mailing address so I can send you my mailing address too. You will find my email address on the right side of my blog.

Have a nice day!

Awesome ATC swap

Just got my ATC prize and ATC traded cards from Peggy. Oh I just love them!
We are also looking for Filipino ATC makers who would love to swap with us and have our own community here in the country. Of course, we very much love to swap with our crafty friends from other countries too!
Ciao, gotta meet some dear friends!
