Lakbayan

Glen and I loved to travel and explore the beaches of our country. There are still a lot of places for me to visit in Visayas and Mindanao. I want to have a full shade of the map just like Glen and my mom.

My Lakbayan grade is C+!

How much of the Philippines have you visited? Find out at Lakbayan!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!!

It's a busy weekend for me. I had so much fun doing Iris's Prima class at Lasting Impression and learned new techniques again. I really enjoy playing with distress inks and perfect pearls. Now, I want to have most of the colors now.
For the first lay-out, we stamped the prima foam stamp in our cardstock and fill it in with perfect pearls and painted the bird chipboard with perfect pearls too.

For this, we did masking and stamping of background in three colors. This is really cool.

We used the distress ink on the images and applied stickles on the frame. I skip on doing the stitching.

And for the fourth lay=out, using scraps from the kit and applying some of the techniques I just learned.
Happy NSD everyone!!!

So Proud of You

Zid made this coloring page of Jollibee during Matt's first birthday last March 6 at Jollibee Katipunan. He was the only one who was able to finish the coloring page and he won P100 gift certificate from Tita Leila.

For this lay-out, I used Creative Scrappers #101 sketch, and made the flower using the ribbon shared to me by Ate Oyen making it eligible for an entry for Sisterhood of Scrap challenge. Isn't fun to combine challenges?

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Creative Scrappers Sketch #100

Materials: Basic Grey, Jenni Bowlin, October Afternoon ( cut out circles), alphas (American Crafts).

My nephew Migs riding the zip line at Treetop adventure in Subic.
Loved this color combo. Always reminds me of Disney. I guess I'm just excited for our Disney adventure in a few days!
Have a nice day!

Combining Challenges

Isn't fun to combine challenges in one lay-out? It keeps your mojo on the go.

For this lay-out I used Creative scrappers sketch to make the lay-out and used border punches and scallop punch to qualify for Ali's Use a Punch in Sisterhood of Scrap. And Lastly, use a monogram as a title for Julie's April challenge in Treasured scrapbooking.

Yummy

Moments like this are rare when Zid heartily devours his chosen meal. I really wanted to scrap this.

Made this for sisterhood of scrap for Linda's challenge to use a paint and 3 stamps. I painted my chipboard with crackle paint and used 2 stamps to create my background and used Pink paislee journaling stamp to make my journaling block.

Spring Cleaning

I know we only have two seasons here in the Philippines - rainy season and summer season and it feels like summer all year! But I love the idea of spring cleaning once a year to clean up and make space for new things.
Thanks to Sisterhood of scrap, I was able to use my old papers. I didn't realize I still have 2005 paper in my stash and lots of 2007 and 2008 papers. Oh boy, gotta use them or they will start compiling.
Materials : Background paper KI Memories (2008), circles cut from Urban Lily (2005), 3Bugs in a rug (2008), Basic grey " Color me silly" (frog - I don't know how old!)

Happy Weekend!!!

Prima Product Pick

I loved this new Umbrella line of Prima. And it will be perfect for Zid's silly photos.

Dream Come True

. . . its a dream come true to meet and scrap with Jaz Lee, a good scrappy friend from Scrapbook heaven.
Meeting her and scrapping with her for 30 mins was the best 30 mins of my Singapore vacation. How I wish I have one full day with her.
I used the April sketch of Prima for this lay-out and Carla's challenge for Sisterhood of scrap and Scrappers at SG to use mediums and inspiration from Alice in Wonderland.

Some close ups on the prima flowers and crackle paints:

Materials: Prima pp - Urban cosmos "metro", websters pages pp, prima pearls and lace (brown), prima flowers and alpha, websters pages lace (pink), pink paislee alpha.

Happy weekend!!!

Altered Tray

I found this wooden tray / box in a shop a year ago and been wanting to alter it. I almost forgot about it until I finished the 7gypsies art tray class I had.

I used misting on the other side for my poem and used stickles to outline the papers. I also used opal dust for the cardboad I used as frame on our wedding picture. and finished the frame with crackle paint.

Hoping this altered art would do great for Mia's challenge for sisterhood of scrap.
