Trash to treasure

Hope everyone had a great weekend.  Its been a week after my birthday and I'm glad I'm back to my crafty mood.   My birthday celebration was simple and shared with my family.  It was just a day I want to skip.  Well, our car was stolen on that day and so glad that nobody was hurt.  It was just now that I can tell all these things here in my blog.

Anyway,  crafting and scrapbooking will always make me happy and I just love turning trashes into treasure.
Here's a peanut butter made into an artsy canister for my inkido blooms.  An addition to my growing artsy canisters.  I used my inkido blooms and laces and adhered using a hot glue.

Thanks for the visit!  Hope I inspired you today.  So  before you throw that bottle, just look how you can prettify it with some lace and flowers in your stash.

Have a nice day!

Beach boys

Summer is just starting on the other side of the world and its over here in Manila.  Nevertheless,  with the climate change, we can still enjoy the beaches here.

My boys share the same passion as I do - having fun in the beach!  We all love to soak in the sun and feel the water and waves in our toes.  Zid also expressed his desire to become a diver like us  in the future.  (Of course,  in my thoughts, please do that in your own expense son!  Your father and I did.)

Here's a lay-out of my boys in Siloso beach at Singapore.  We really are so glad we stayed in Sentosa in our whole stay in Singapore.  We got to enjoy the beach every after our tour of the attractions in Singapore.

I got to play with my Prima stamp again and with my Best Creation scraps (surf's up and splash fun)
Thanks for the visit!  Have a great weekend!

Happy Moments

I don't buy expensive clothes, designer bags and shoes.  However, we do invest in memories,  which no one can ever take away from us.  Special Moments and adventures we will always remember.
Supplies: Cardstock - American crafts, patterned paper - websters pages, flowers - websters pages and inkido.

Every year we try our best to spend family vacations either in the beach or out of the country.  This year, we went to Singapore for the Universal Studios and the Zoo for the kids.  We all had a blast.

Swirls of Fun

Its hip to be square!

The Design team were asked to make a project using squares.  Yes!  I can finally try grid design. I have been wanting to try this but whenever I try,  I always tend to shift on my style.
I used the Loops and Scoops collection for lay-out which suited best our visit to Universal Studios Singapore.  Of course,  I have to add some misting or else,  I will be confused if I made this lay-out.

Here's a close up on the embellishments and details:

Check out the Best creation blog for some inspiration too.
Have a great day!
hugs,  Jona   ( I do really need lots of hugs today.  So many pressures at work!)

Of Flowers and Wings

I love butterflies and clustering my embellishments especially the flowers. This is my favorite collection of Inkido - Forever.  And with little bits of Is this love and older lines,  I got the perfect page for my sister and her hubby.

Here's another page with butterflies this time with my nephew and brother in law. I loved this color combination - brown and blue.

Splashes of Fun

A life without love is like a year without summer. - Sweddish Proverb
Well,  living in a tropical country is having summer all year round and I never regret it.  I dream of having white christmas and making snow angels too.  And I love love love making sand castles anytime of the year and diving underwater.  Yep,  that is the real me.  Beach lover.  A Mermaid with feet.
This week Best creations will show you all the fun in making water pages and how much we all love water.  Fussy cutting is easy with the Splash Fun collection to create the water. Of course,  with helmar Adhesives  our pages will always stand out.  Just like my own quote "  Behind every beautiful artwork is a glue - and that is Helmar!"
If you hop over to the Best Creation blog from now till the weekend, you will find lots of water-themed projects. There are guessing games with prizes to be won and many of the designers are having giveaways on their blogs.
Here's my two pager using Splash Fun:

close up on first page:  I used zap dots for lots of 3d  on those cute splashes.  Misting added more "splashes" on my page
a close up on page #2:
and there goes the ball!  It really looks like it created splashes on my page.

For a chance to win on my blog, leave me a comment by June 24th and I will draw one winner to win a pack of 6x6 collection and some extras.  Yes,  I will post anywhere in the world.

Make sure to visit other BC designers too.  Have great day!

Bring it On!

The boys really enjoyed their bonding moment last holy week in Lola's resthouse in Tagaytay. After swimming, monkeying around and running, everyone waited for their own turn to play the PSP.

Supplies: Cardstock - Crate Paper, Patterned Paper - Best Creation Loops and Scoops, Chipboard - Best Creation, tools - Martha Stewart and Fiskars.
This is my take on this weeks sketch at Pencillines.Of course, I flipped the sketch again.
