Messy Wednesday

Hey everyone!

My desk is so busy today and so many patterned papers on top of it.  The gears paper is the new Best Creation paper coming out this April.  I have a new book I am trying to start to read.  Its been there for a week already and I haven't started reading it.   I finally finished scrapping my son's class picture.  I just want to make sure I have less backlog on scrapping his school photos.

Here's the lay-out using my Best Creation scraps from transportation line, travel forever and back to school papers.  Finally got to use this old tree chipboard  that has been in my stash for so long.   I still feel there is something missing on this page.  Any ideas?

Check out Julia's blog for more snoop on other desks.
Thanks for the visit!

Family Bonding

Watching the boys having a good time is really worth documenting.   The boys headed by hubby is having a leisure walk along the streets of our resthouse in Tagaytay.
I used different lines of Inkido here with the vintage images and the postcard stamp.  I loved this stamp and I am sure  you will be seeing this stamp in my lay-outs more.

Cards for Japan

As soon as I got my DT box from Inkido,  I didn't waste anytime to make this  cards.  I used the Rosehange line and the "bladslinga" stamp to make the second card.

These are an all occasion cards so no sentiments were added.

I am  joining the challenge over Scrappin Studio:  Sending Love for Japan. The ever talented and inspirational Japanese scrapping friend Tomoko Takashi  organized an auction/ Sale of  our artwork to raise money for fellow victims in Japan. Tomoko is currently running her own donation campaign together with the Japan Red Cross Society. Please do check on her blog for more info.

Please do pray for Japan and the victims of the mishap.  I don't want to call it a calamity since my country have experienced lots of calamities in the past year and I have personally experienced the 1990 Killer Quake that hit my country.  It was devasting and the memories of it  are still fresh to me whenever I go back to that decade.

Hope you all join in this campaign and let us show the world that we,  the scrapbooking community across the world are united.  We can make things happen!

Have a nice day everyone!

High 5!

My little boy posing with the M&M's during our Singapore trip last year.  I am trying to make an all Prima page for Zid here.  Is it too much feminine?

My Sweet Lemonade

Summer papers don't need to be summer themed pages!
Its been a while since I used this color combo and I am loving it.  My eldest nephew doesn't like to be photographed anymore,  so whenever I get a snapshot,  he makes sure that he is wacky in the photo. And that wouldn't stop me from scrapping that photo.

I used Best creation Surf's Up line here and fussy cut the papers for my embellishment.  The banner is made using the glitter dot papers.
Materials: Best Creation Surf's Up line (GP ) Pink paislee alpha stickers, inkido post card stamp, inkido blings and baker's twine.
Some close-ups:
I am still in love with butterflies and try to incorporate it in my pages.

Have a great week ahead!

You Dazzle Me

Its my mom's pleasure to play with her grandkids.  And this time,  she and Bins are having a bonding moment.

In this lay-out, I have used the autumn papers of Inkido, tricking you that I have used a big portion in my layers of patterned paper when in fact the two layers where only 2 inches of strip paper.  Thus,  I still have paper left to create a card.

a close up on the texture of the birdcage.  I really loved this die.
Here's the card using scraps from my lay-out.  Inkido now have vintage images too.

Thanks for the visit and don't forget to drop by the Inkido blog for lots of inspiration.

Scraps?

Would you believe that I used scraps to make this lay-out? Even some of the embellishment were scraps from my previous class kits that I joined last year.

I used scraps from Transportation line, travel forever and scraps of my glitter dot cardstock.  Its really worth it to keep those little pieces.  You'll never know when to insert them in your lay-out.

Have a nice day!  Hugs,  Jona

BC Mini Book Blog Hop

How would you like to learn how to create a fun Mini Book out of one 12x12 and be inspired to make 20 different versions of it?

Well get ready to hop- because today on each of our blogs we will share with you some fun and creative ideas to make the simple book we made at the CHA Winter Show.

If you just came here by chance,  I suggest you start the hopping from Best Creation so as not to miss the other inspirations from my co designers. If you have arrived from Katarina, then you are on the right track.

And here's how to make your mini book:
Cut your 12 x 12 patterned equally in three parts,  so each piece would be 4 x 12.  Piece them together like a book and decoarate it as you wish.

For the cover of my mini book, I used the chipboard from Travel forever and recycled a prima packaging. I have used the Travel Forever line in making my mini book.
A peek on the inside pages,  filled with all the glittery cardstock stickers.  Diecuts and stickers are really handy when you want to make a fast project.
The inside pages, hope my sister enjoys browsing this mini book for her as I document her visit in Venice as a flight attendant of Emirates.
Be sure and leave a comment at the bottom of our Best Creation Blog for a chance to win a huge prize pack of goodies and 3 more chances to win if you sign up to be follower or join us on facebook! And don’t forget to leave comments along the way letting us know how you love all their designs.

And now,  you should be hoping on to Kim.
Happy hopping!

What's on your workdesk wednesday?

Its been months ago since I have joined in the fun of snooping around each others workdesk.  Its been a busy 2nd semester 2010 for me and loving it.  Through the months that  I have been MIA from the WOYWW,  I have re-arrange my scrap stuff and bought a bookshelf at a great value.  I got it for a buy1 take 1 promo.  So now my corner of the room is more organized  and I can see clearly my bottles of flowers which are my inspiration in crafting.
I altered peanut butter bottles to hold my flowers  and buttons.  The three unaltered bottles are from Ikea.
And this is what's on my desk,  the book I am currently reading ( the bed is beside my table so I just place my book before going to bed), the photo I am going to scrap next and the stamps from Inkido  that I plan to use with my scrapbook page.  The table is so neat because all the mess is under the craft mat. (Look,  there's even one peeking!)

Check out Julia's blog to join in the fun and learn more about WOYWW!

Have a nice day!

Pretty girls and a card

During One world One heart event,  I met new friends who share the same passion in creating ATC's.  Artist trading cards are miniature art creations  either handdrawn,  painted or collage.  I collage ATC's since  I really haven't tried learning to draw.

I am swapping my freedom ATC with Britney all the way to Australia.

And my unique and youthful ATC  with Yvonne of Artic blonde creations. Check out her blog and see her wonderful ATC's.

And these girl with her doll will remain in my collection.  I try to keep one for myself  everytime I make an ATC.  But most of the time,  I have swapped them too.

Before I end my post,  I'd like to share my card using Best Creation Safari Boy line.

Check out Best creation blog for lots of inspiration from my fellow designers.   And don't forget Best Creation Blog hop on Mar 11.  See you there!

My 3rd Title and Sash

Eighteen years and one childbirth after,  I have earned my third beauty title.   It feels so good to feel like a beauty queen once again.
I know,  its my dream to become a Ms Universe  but since I am height challenged,  becoming a Junior Prom Queen,  Ms Sportsfest '93, and Best Muse 2010 would be enough for me.  Besides,  not all pretty girls  get a chance to win these titles.   ( I am just making myself happy!!! Please bear with me!)

For this lay-out,  I created my own diecut paper out of Websters Pages Spring Market line.   Eversince,  diecuts become a fad in scrapbooking,  I have made templates out of them  so that I can trace them to my own patterned papers  whenever I needed a diecut paper.  Saves me a lot of money  and makes a dent in my growing stash.

I used the blending tool to ink the edges.

a close up on the dress form from Dusty attic.  Its gorgeous, isn't it?

Have a great weekend everyone!!!  Off to enjoy a weekend with the family in Tagaytay.

BC Quote Challenge

Who doesn't love quotes?  I have a notebook specifically to write all my favorite quotes and when I need one for my projects,  I just scan my notebook and use it on my page.

Here's my page using the quote as my title.

I used the transportation die cut paper and fussy cut the kites from the old summer papers of Best Creation.  I love mixing lines and see how they  all go together.  The glittery papers and different lines of Best Creation can be mixed together to capture and document your memories.

A closer look -  I just loved this rainbow colors!

I really wanted to document this moment of Zid with Jollibee (our company mascot). When Zid was younger,  he was afraid of him.  Now,  he loves cuddling with Jollibee.  I too love Jollibee  not only because I work for him.

Have a nice day and don't forget to check out the best creation blog for lots of inspiration!
